About the Role
CrowdStrike is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Linux sensor development team. This role combines technical leadership with people management, overseeing the design and implementation of new security features in our lightweight Linux agent. You'll guide a team of engineers working with eBPF and other advanced technologies to extend Falcon's capabilities across diverse environments, including containerized workloads in Kubernetes.
What You'll Do
Management Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of 6-8 senior engineers
Drive technical strategy and architectural decisions for Linux sensor development
Collaborate with Product Management to define roadmaps and prioritize features
Conduct performance reviews, career development planning, and hiring
Foster cross-functional collaboration with Security Research, Cloud Platform, and Customer Success teams
Technical Leadership
Provide technical guidance on complex features spanning file system, memory, process, and networking subsystems
Ensure high code quality, security standards, and performance optimization
Participate in technical design reviews and architecture discussions
Operational Excellence
Manage project timelines and deliverables using Agile methodologies
Coordinate incident response for customer-reported issues
Ensure team meets reliability and performance SLAs
What You'll Need
3+ years of engineering management experience with teams of 5+ engineers
7+ years of hands-on Linux / Unix development experience in C / C++
Strong background in high-concurrency, multi-threaded applications
Proven track record of shipping production software with high reliability requirements
Bonus Points
Experience in cybersecurity or endpoint protection
Background in kernel development or system-level programming
