Sports Video Editor Job at Pro Sports Outlook in St. Louis

As the Pro Sports Outlook (PSO) Sports Video Editor, you’ll create and edit highlight clips of the NFL, NBA, and / or MLB, contributing to the Digital Communications Department's daily objectives.

Responsibilities :

• Create, edit, and manage video content for social media channels and affiliate sites.
• Utilize best practices for creating highlight videos optimized for social media platforms and continuously research market trends.
• Stay updated with the latest technology, platforms, and industry best practices.
• Brainstorm new content ideas.
• Use constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
• Devote an average of 5-10 hours per week to the role.
• Work remotely with a flexible schedule, ideal for students.
• Operate a wide range of assignments, requiring organization, efficiency, attention to detail, and planning skills.
• Demonstrate strong video editing skills, ambition, and drive for success.
• Showcase excellent verbal and written communication skills with timely follow-up.
• Have proven experience in editing digital videos or related work in a professional environment.
• Possess credible knowledge and passion for teams and active players in at least one major professional sport (NFL, NBA, or MLB).
• Create 5+ minute highlight videos in 16×9 format for YouTube and adapt them into 1-minute 1×1 highlights for Instagram.
• Understand social media content that appeals to sports fans.
• Thrive in an environment requiring quick turnaround results.
• Be comfortable working independently without supervision.
• Be a social media enthusiast familiar with platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.
• Have a good understanding of common computer and mobile applications (Email, Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Mobile apps).
• This is an unpaid internship, with potential for academic credit and future paid roles in a growing startup.
• Be familiar with the sports YouTube community and YouTube metrics, as well as other social media analytics.
• Have proven experience creating engaging sports highlight videos.
