Requirements :

Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution

South Dakota license

Experience working with children or working in a public school environment

Responsibilities :

Conduct screenings, progress assessments, and evaluations.

Interpret assessment findings for parents, students, teachers, and staff.

Lead Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings following District protocols.

Maintain Special Education records as per District guidelines.

Collaborate with the IEP Team to identify and prioritize goals and objectives.

Support students in achieving academic and functional goals.

Recommend tools, strategies, and equipment to enhance student learning.

Demonstrate and trial recommended tools and strategies for integration into student routines.

Provide training to teachers and staff on techniques for supporting physical development.

Develop positioning plans to facilitate student access and participation in classroom settings.

Oversee the use of Assistive / Adaptive equipment for student, teacher, and staff safety.

Encourage inclusive and safe participation among the student's peers.

Any other duties as assigned.
