Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Charleston, South Carolina (29425) – Prime Lowcountry location near beaches, historic sites, and world-class dining Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : January 5, 2026 – End : April 6, 2026) Healthcare Setting : Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, Magnet Hospital Unit : CHS 5W / 5SW MS Trauma Main Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 – 07 : 30), 36 hours / week Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period Guaranteed Hours : Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Orientation : 16 hours Charting System : EPIC Scrub Color : Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms Estimated Weekly Pay : $1420 - $1530 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact Registered Nurse (RN) License (pending license not accepted) Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience Required Certifications : ACLS and BLS Preferred : Trauma nursing experience and EPIC charting proficiency Key Skills : Blood product administration, central line blood draws, dysrhythmia interpretation / management, isolation precautions, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), rapid response / code team participation, ortho trauma, oxygen administration, peripheral line care Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions only) Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs First-time travel nurses welcome Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to adults in a fast-paced Med / Surg trauma unit Monitor and manage patient conditions, including cardiac and trauma cases Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV lines Interpret and respond to dysrhythmias; participate in rapid response / code teams Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC Adhere to infection control and isolation protocols Support emergency response efforts during hurricane season as needed Take your nursing career to the next level with this outstanding travel Med / Surg RN job in Charleston, South Carolina.
