Front of House Manager

The Front of House Manager position is available at Christopher Newport University - Main Campus in Newport News, Virginia. This is a non-exempt position with a hiring range starting at $34,277, commensurate with education and experience.

Job Description :

Minimum Qualifications :

Education :

  • High school diploma or equivalent education / experience that equates to a high school diploma

Experience :

  • Experience in the food service industry
  • Supervisory experience

    • Additional Considerations :

    Education :

  • ServSafe Certified

    • Experience :

  • Experience as a restaurant or dining room host / hostess
  • Experience leading or guiding tour groups
  • Experience decorating for special events or catering
  • Experience with financial transactions and / or point of sale systems
  • Experience preparing dining rooms for meal service with a strong focus on sanitation and presentation
  • Catering and banquet experience
  • Experience working in a college or university dining environment
