Site Operations Manager

Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking a Site Operations Manager to join our propellant mixing team. This position will provide leadership to our Propellant Mixing Operations team at our facility located in Promontory, Utah.

Role Description & Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will oversee the propellant / energetic operations buildings and team. This role is responsible for leading a diverse team of skilled technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations that meet company objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and coordinate daily work assignments for team members, ensuring efficient and timely responses to customer requests.
• Oversee and ensure Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans are completed as scheduled.
• Prioritize and resolve tasks to maintain safe operations and minimize downtime.
• Promote and enforce compliance with safety protocols, fostering a culture of safe behavior.
• Encourage teamwork, compliance, punctuality, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Respond promptly and effectively to facility issues.
• Manage budgets for materials and labor (DLY) related to operations tasks.
• Provide performance management, career development, and conduct regular quarterly reviews for direct reports.
• Engage directly with crews on-site to promote safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Communicate updates, safety information, and leadership directives through regular team meetings.
• Audit and approve timecards promptly to meet payroll and audit requirements.
• Maintain communication with leadership regarding roadblocks that impact operations.

Primary Level Salary Range : $92,600.00 - $139,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
