We are seeking a Body Shop Technician. The technician repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and spray painting equipment.
GREAT PAY PLAN - EARN up to $100K plus! Up to $25 / hr. Production bonus!

Responsibilities
Complete dis-assembly of vehicle in order to assist Estimators in assessing damageEnsure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair timePlan work procedure : follow work order for all operations listedRemove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window and seat operating equipment and trim to gain access to damaged area of vehicle if needed. Store parts on carts or cover to eliminate potential damageRepair damaged body by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts; ensure all gaps and fits are to industry standards; remove damaged fenders, panels and grills; and bolts or welds replacement parts in position and reassemble after parts are paintedOperate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.)File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces with 120-grit paper before turning vehicle over to the Paint Dept.Repair or replace defective partsEnsure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair timeInspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standardsComply with all safety rules, guidelines and standardsPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications
Strong automotive body shop backgroundStrong teamwork skillsWilling to submit to a drug screen and background checkMust have clean and valid driver's licenseAuthorized to work in the United StatesPrevious I-Car training or welding certifications are preferred. If you do not have the certifications, you must be willing to work towards achieving these certifications.
