Kettle Driver

Seasonal Part Time Christmas Position

Schedule / Hours : Monday Thursday 8 : 00 a.m. 10 : 00 a.m.

This position is responsible for : Drives Salvation Army vehicle to mall(s) to pick up gifts and take them to the Christmas warehouse. Responsible for driving to and from homes, agencies and churches to pick up gifts, stockings, etc. Loads and unloads gifts from the vehicle to the warehouse. Operates the vehicle in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and State driving regulations; lifts, carries, loads and unloads Christmas donations, gifts, stocks, etc.; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times; drives kettle workers to and from kettle locations; assists in performing work at the Christmas warehouse and center as requested.

Key Responsibilities :

• Delivers bell-ringers and / or kettles to locations daily; picks up same at end of day; returns kettle locations as necessary / directed throughout the day to pick up and / or drop off empty kettles.
• Maintains cleanliness of Salvation Army vehicle inside and outside.
• Drives Salvation Army vehicle to homes, agencies, churches and other designated locations to pick up gifts, stockings, etc. to the Christmas warehouse.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
