Sheetfed Offset Press Technician (Labels & Packaging)What your day looks like
Start your morning on first shift, Monday–Thursday, 7 : 00 AM–3 : 30 PM, by reviewing the day’s job tickets and confirming substrates, inks, coatings, and finishing details. You’ll stage materials, load sheets, mount plates and blankets, balance ink and water, and lock in registration and color. Throughout the run you’ll watch the press closely—tuning ink flow, impression pressure, and feeder settings—while performing frequent quality checks to meet customer specs and production timelines. When issues arise, you’ll troubleshoot fast to minimize waste and downtime. You’ll wrap up with cleaning, routine maintenance, and communicating status with supervisors, production, and quality teams.

Your impact
Operate and maintain sheet-fed printing presses to deliver work precisely to job ticket and customer specificationsTranslate job orders into accurate press setups : substrates, inks, coatings, and finishingSet up press for success : load sheets, install plates / blankets, dial in ink / water balance, registration, and color fidelityMonitor the run and adjust ink, pressure, and feed to keep output consistentVerify quality continuously against company and customer standardsDiagnose and resolve print and mechanical issues quickly to reduce wastePerform cleaning and routine maintenance; escalate major repair needsFollow safety protocols and keep the press area organizedCollaborate with supervisors, production, and quality to hit deadlinesWhat you bring
Hands-on experience with sheet-fed offset or digital equipment (e.g., Heidelberg, Komori, KBA)Working knowledge of substrates used in labels, tags, cartons, and specialty packagingKeen eye for detail and color accuracy with strong quality standardsAbility to interpret job tickets, schedules, and quality specificationsFamiliarity with offset, UV, and water-based inks and coatings (preferred)Mechanical aptitude for adjustments and minor repairsComfort standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environmentTeam-oriented communicator with a reliable, can‑do mindsetBonus skills
