The Operations Manager is a critical thought-leadership role that uses data to paint a process picture for their leadership team and business partners, inspiring them to execute with excellence. As an operational role model and partner, your influence will be key to shaping the business and family feel in your fulfillment or distribution center. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, you'll support your team in fulfilling our customer promise and empowering people around the country to save more and live better.

Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and / or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates)

Drive and implement the business plan for your area to achieve facility goals (production, quality, safety) and operational improvements

Forecast staffing, workload, and performance results to meet business demands

Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements

Monitor and ensure compliance with logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures, and directives

Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using judgment or consulting others as needed

Supervise and manage associates and leaders by giving direction, monitoring performance, providing feedback, identifying training needs, and supporting learning and growth

Your schedule :

Fulfillment and Distribution Centers operate 24 / 7 and business needs change seasonally. Your schedule requirements will be assigned to align with business needs.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production / Operations Management); and 1 year's experience in an operations / distribution / logistics / retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers / supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas OR 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 3 years' experience in an operations / distribution / logistics / retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers / supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments / areas.

Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.)
