Job Title : Configuration Analyst

Location : Cambridge, MA - Onsite

Type : Full Time

Work Authorization : Must be US Citizen and Eligible for a Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of configuration management (CM) processes and procedures in accordance with industry standards and company policies
  • Participate in Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Design Review Board (DRB) meetings, providing CM expertise and input
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and program management teams to ensure CM processes align with program goals
  • Generate and distribute CM reports and metrics to provide visibility into the status of configuration items and change objects
  • Assist senior CM personnel in preparing and conducting configuration audits and reviews
  • Resolve configuration-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner
  • Support the release process by verifying the accuracy and completeness of change documentation
  • Contribute to monthly updates and deliveries of revised work products
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend actionable solutions

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in configuration management or a closely related field
  • Foundational knowledge of CM principles, practices, and standards
  • Familiarity with military and commercial CM specifications, including ANSI / EIA-649, ASME Y14, MIL-STD-31000, and MIL-STD-961
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management system requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as PLM databases
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Clear and professional communication skills

    • Education

  • Associate degree in engineering or a related field required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Equivalent professional experience in configuration management or a related discipline may be considered
