Procurement Specialist
Intermountain Electric Inc. (IME) is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join their growing team!
The Procurement Specialist will support IME's operations by managing purchasing activities, maintaining inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Working closely with the Procurement Manager and project teams, this role will source materials, equipment, and services to keep construction projects on track. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment, contributing to IME's success through effective supply management and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure quality of materials and services provided.
- Create, review, and process purchase orders, invoices, and other procurement-related documents as necessary. Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, delivery schedules, and other procurement-related documents. Track delivery schedules and communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure procurement needs are met in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure quality and efficiency of services provided. Assist with the identification and evaluation of potential new vendors.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide recommendations for procurement process improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict management and negotiation.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Ability to build strong, effective relationships with team members, project teams, subcontractors and suppliers.High level of competency with the Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with procurement software and systems preferred.Familiarity with Financial systems (ERP) JDE preferred.Education and Experience :
Associate or Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain management or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.1+ years of experience in procurement or a related field.Working Conditions :
The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment. Occasionally, you may travel to a construction job site. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.

Salary Range : $24.55 $33.17 / hr.
Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
