As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a chemical or petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do

Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the chemical or petrochemical location, verifying credentials and permissions for entry and exit. Provide customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and employees with security-related inquiries and site-specific procedures. Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, including responding to alarms and emergencies as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity. Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements. Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders during incidents or drills to support a coordinated response.

Minimum Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Access control or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
