Tool & Die Maker

Department : Tooling Department

Department / Area : Tool & Die Maker

Position Summary : Candidates are required to set up and operate major machining equipment including drills, conventional mill, conventional lathe, and surface grinder. Ability to run an OD grinder, honing machine and CNC is a plus. Candidates are required to interpret blueprints / drawings ; verify and accurately report on quality and quantity of work performed; maintain a clean and organized work area.

Daily tasks : Interpret blueprints / drawings to create tooling. Set up and operate major machining equipment.

Minimum Qualifications : High School graduate or equivalent. Basic English reading and math skills. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Familiarity with the material carbide and Mastercam is a plus. EDM knowledge is also a plus.

Reporting Relationships : Will report to the Tooling Supervisor and / or the Plant Manager.

Working Conditions : Standing most of the time. Carry parts that usually weigh less than 20 lbs., but may be up to 40 lbs.

Success Factors : The candidate should have a good attitude and be willing to learn. Good communications skills a plus

Position Requirements : Requires full work time only. 10 hours a shift- Monday to Thursday - overtime expected depending on production needs. Regular attendance is an essential job function.
