Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Role Description

We are very exited to offer an opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner located in the San Diego, or southern Orange County area to join our team. This position will start as part time but will grow to full time as the patient panel grows. The applicant must be a person who enjoys being part of a team, and must be passionate about providing high quslity care. They should plan to work part time from home and part time in office. The applicant will provide outpatient psychiatric care, which includes a thorough assessment, psychiatric medication management, patient education and supportive psychotherapy. The role also involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.

Qualifications

• Mental Health Nursing and Psychiatric Care skills
• Nurse Practitioner certification and experience
• Experience in Mental Health Care
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience with various psychotherapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, or Interpersonal Therapy.
• A commitment to staying current with the latest developments in psychiatric treatment
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing
