Lead Security Specialist
You will serve as a Lead Security Specialist in the Anti-Terrorism and Physical Security Branch of the Security and Fire Office in the Executive Support Staff of Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Responsibilities include informing employees of available benefits, services, and work-related activities, and leading the team in workload and task management. You will also inform the supervisor of performance management issues and recommend related actions.
Requirements include at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate administrative and technical oversight, decision-making on technical and personnel problems, planning work, assisting in the development of subordinates, and developing and implementing major security programs. Achieving the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification or the Physical Security Certification within two years of acceptance is also required.
