POSITION TITLE Public Relations Intern – Winter / Spring 2026 POSITION LOCATION This hybrid position is open to applicants located in Richmond, Virginia YOUR ROLE This 12-week, paid internship beginning in January 2026 offers a hands-on, immersive opportunity to contribute to real-world public relations campaigns that spotlight the challenges and opportunities in long-term care. You’ll gain exposure to media relations, influencer engagement and internal communications. This internship is best suited for someone who is curious, quick to learn, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and passionate about work that drives social impact. What you will be doing Contributing to media relations efforts, including identifying target reporters and crafting compelling pitches Assisting with influencer engagement strategies Drafting and editing content for external channels Supporting the development of campaigns that promote awareness of long-term care challenges and solutions Tracking media coverage and assisting with reporting on campaign performance ​ What you bring Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related field with an expected graduation date of May 2026-May 2027 Strong written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with media or influencer trends (prior experience with earned or social media is a plus!)
