Position : Quality Care Project Director

Location : Northwest Region, AL (Bibb, Colbert, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Marion, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker or Winston. Candidates residing in Mississippi counties contiguous to Alabama will also be considered . )

Duration : 6+ Months Contract with good chances of extension

Position Overview :

We are seeking a Quality Care Project Director to lead and oversee quality improvement initiatives for Medicaid populations. This role works closely with Medical Directors, Pharmacists, care coordination teams, and leadership to develop and implement Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs). This is a project management role with no direct reports and is a key position for Alabama Medicaid’s ACHN program.

Job description :

• Develop and oversee Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
• Collaborate with practices and community providers to implement quality programs.
• Ensure Primary Care Case Management entities (PCCM-e) complete required QIPs and meet benchmarks.
• Review, analyze, and report quality data to the Medical Director.
• Support care coordination for high-risk and high-cost populations.
• Ensure services comply with state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Facilitate quality improvement activities, including provider education on evidence-based best practices.
• Implement clinical management initiatives prioritized by the agency.
