Location : Northwest Region, AL (Bibb, Colbert, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Marion, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker or Winston. Candidates residing in Mississippi counties contiguous to Alabama will also be considered . )
Duration : 6+ Months Contract with good chances of extension
Position Overview :
We are seeking a Quality Care Project Director to lead and oversee quality improvement initiatives for Medicaid populations. This role works closely with Medical Directors, Pharmacists, care coordination teams, and leadership to develop and implement Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs). This is a project management role with no direct reports and is a key position for Alabama Medicaid’s ACHN program.

- Develop and oversee Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
- Collaborate with practices and community providers to implement quality programs.
- Ensure Primary Care Case Management entities (PCCM-e) complete required QIPs and meet benchmarks.
- Review, analyze, and report quality data to the Medical Director.
- Support care coordination for high-risk and high-cost populations.
- Ensure services comply with state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Facilitate quality improvement activities, including provider education on evidence-based best practices.
- Implement clinical management initiatives prioritized by the agency.
Experience :
Minimum 1 year working with Medicaid populations.Familiarity with HEDIS, CAHPS, and other standardized quality measures.Proficiency in quantitative data analysis.At least 3 years’ experience in population health management, including data interpretation, identifying improvement opportunities, and strategic planning.Additional Requirements :
Knowledge of population health management and quality improvement processes.Residence in the preferred counties listed above (or contiguous Mississippi counties).
