Summary
As the Quality Manager for the Fulfillment Distribution Center (DC), you will lead the quality function across all areas of the operation - inbound, order processing, outbound, and returns. You'll ensure that all processes meet corporate quality standards, regulatory and ISO requirements, and customer expectations. This role is highly collaborative, partnering with operations and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, eliminate root causes, and promote operational excellence.
What You'll Be Doing
Oversee and develop the Quality Assurance function within the DC.
Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across fulfillment operations, including inbound, storage / handling, order processing, outbound, transfers, and returns.
Establish, track, and report key quality metrics (KPIs) such as defects, customer returns, non-conformances, and cost of poor quality.
Ensure proper calibration, traceability, and maintenance of all quality control and measurement equipment.
Conduct internal audits and support external audits (e.g., ISO 9001) to ensure ongoing compliance and audit readiness.
Lead root cause investigations for non-conformances and customer complaints; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with operations, engineering, supply chain, and warehouse management teams to identify risks, drive process improvements, and integrate quality best practices.
Deliver training programs on quality principles, reliability, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC).
Maintain all quality documentation, including manuals, control plans, and procedures, in alignment with corporate and site standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, enhance throughput, and strengthen fulfillment quality.
Partner with suppliers, carriers, and customers as needed to resolve quality issues and support service-level excellence.
Manage departmental goals and resources to support site-level objectives.
What You Need
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management, preferably in a distribution, fulfillment, or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), and Quality Management Systems.
Proven ability to collaborate and influence across all levels within a warehouse or distribution setting.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience applying statistical methods and building data reports or dashboards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and quality / statistical software tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Comfortable working on the warehouse floor while engaging in strategic planning discussions.
Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies (DMAIC or equivalent).
Experience with fulfillment and distribution processes (receiving, warehousing, order picking, packing, shipping, and returns) preferred.
Desired Qualifications
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Experience in a multi-shift distribution center environment.
Exposure to supplier or carrier quality management within a fulfillment supply chain.
ASQ certification (CQE, CQM) is a plus.

Frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout the facility to observe operations and conduct audits.
Exposure to varying warehouse conditions, including temperature changes, noise, and material handling equipment.
Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs) and stair climbing may be required.
Flexibility to support multiple shifts, audits, or special projects as needed.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) required when working on the warehouse floor.
