This position performs technical and field-based work supporting housing advocacy and homelessness response programs within the Human Services Department. The role focuses on assisting individuals and families experiencing homelessness by providing intake, assessment, case management, outreach, housing placement, and referral services. Responsibilities include working directly with unsheltered individuals—often those facing mental health or substance use challenges—maintaining program data and reports, collaborating with community partners and landlords, and helping clients secure and maintain stable housing. Work is performed both in the field and office setting with considerable client and community interaction, operating independently within established program guidelines under the supervision of the Homeless Program Coordinator.
