Manager In Training
The Manager In Training will be responsible for the oversight of gym operations to ensure an exceptional "Judgement Free" member experience as well as a financially successful club. The Club Manager will be accountable for leading a team of employees in a positive, motivating manner with continuous assistance in employee training and development. The Manager In Training will receive extra support in this role from their direct supervisor. This role is considered to be the walkway between assistant manager and club manager.

Essential duties and responsibilities include : recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing staff; creating and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members, and guests; ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines; scheduling staff and ensuring all shifts are covered; leading by example and maintaining consistent accountability for direct reports; administration and processing of all weekly / bi-weekly employee payroll; resolving employee issues or concerns; managing disciplinary / termination activities; involved in all front desk related activities; ensuring prompt opening / closing of gym; overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of facility; ensuring safety of employees, members, and club property; determining and communicating equipment repair; managing marketing efforts; authorizing expenditures and refunds; making daily bank deposits; preparing all HR related forms and sending to Corporate Payroll Team; tracking statistics and reports; and providing backup support for any employee who is absent.
Qualifications / requirements include : superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry; experience working as an Assistant Manager or greater; exceptional leadership, diplomacy, and listening skills; basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite); hard working, enthusiastic, coachable, and energetic; strong problem resolution skills; current CPR Certification required; high school diploma / GED equivalent required; and must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical demands include : continual standing and walking during shift; continual talking in person or on the phone during shift; must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs; and will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
