Community hospital experience preferred.

Description :

Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med / Surg Tele unit.

The position requires managing patients, including telemetry monitoring.

Nurses will care for various patient demographics : adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

Nurses must have experience with cardiac telemetry and managing IVs.

Key responsibilities include performing patient assessments and administering medications.

Nurses will provide education to patients and their families regarding health management.

Effective communication skills are essential to work within an interdisciplinary team.

Nurses should be experienced in wound care and the management of various medical devices.

Travelers are expected to handle a patient ratio of 4 : 1.

Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and respond to emergencies is necessary.

Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in accessing and managing ports and administering blood products.

Experience with isolation precautions and high flow nasal cannula management is important.

Nursing staff will work closely with physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Candidates must be adaptable to float as required within the nursing staff's scope.

Preferred candidates will have a BSN and recent experience in an acute care setting.
