Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition and Retention :
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, attending trade shows, and lead generation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Sales Strategy and Execution :
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to
meet and exceed sales and new customer activation targets. Present and demonstrate our freight brokerage services to potential clients.
Market Research :Stay informed on industry trends, marketing conditions, and thecompetitive landscape. Use this information to adjust sales strategies and provide insights to our team.
Negotiation and Closing :Negotiate pricing and terms with clients. Close sales dealsand ensure all contractual obligations are met.
Collaboration : Work closely with the rest of the sales team, along with the operations team to ensure seamless service and client satisfaction.Reporting and Analysis :Maintain accurate records of sales activities, clientinteractions, and pipeline status. Provide regular updates and forecasts to management.
Requirements
Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.Excellent written / verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Willingness to travel as needed to trade shows.Ability to articulate motivations and drive.Ability to commute and work in the office.Qualifications
Proven experience as a Sales Account Executive, Sales Representative, or similar role, preferably in the logistics or freight brokerage industry desired but not required.Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, logistics, or a related field preferred.Knowledge of the logistics and freight brokerage industry is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations.
