About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : New York license required in hand

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

Must have New York license in hand - no exceptions.

First-time travelers accepted.

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility.

Description :

The position involves working in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.

Patient care will include managing cases such as sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, and multi-organ failure.

A focus on critical care with conditions including alcohol withdrawal and overdose management is required.

You will work with procedures involving CRRT, IABP, ECMO, and Impella.

The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1 : 2, occasionally 1 : 1 based on patient acuity.

Weekend shifts require you to work every other weekend.

The unit comprises 16 beds dealing with adult and geriatric populations.

An interdisciplinary team supports the unit, which includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Candidates will be expected to float as needed within the unit.

Epic charting system experience is mandatory.
