Job description

Overview

Partner, Diversified Energy, Capital Projects - Environmental Permitting & Impact Assessment. ERM is shaping a sustainable future by working with leading energy and decarbonization companies to plan for, develop, and operate energy assets. ERM engages with clients throughout the asset life cycle, including site identification, stakeholder engagement, and securing construction and operating permits for new energy infrastructure. This role focuses on diversifed energy clients and will be client-facing at the Partner level within our Capital Project Development Team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client account development and growth, sales, and delivery of ERM's consulting services in the Energy and / or Power sectors.
  • Grow ERM's Capital Project Development services and business, with emphasis on traditional energy sector and decarbonization companies within the Gulf Coast footprint and beyond.
  • Collaborate with North America Regional Service Leadership, client account directors, and regional leaders to implement market programs for decarbonization, alternative energy, and Low Carbon Economy Transition projects.
  • Develop new client relationships and expand existing ones by delivering strategic consulting, value, and quality service.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry cycles and prioritize high-potential opportunities; develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new business.
  • Drive innovation within core sectors to differentiate ERM in the market.
  • Build and manage a high-performance team, serving as a leader and mentor to consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, financial targets, project budgets and schedules, client satisfaction, and internal risk and contractual requirements.
  • Engage with ERM's technical communities (e.g., Biodiversity and Ecosystems Technical Community and Impact Assessment Technical Community) with a focus on protected species policy and compliance.

Requirements

  • BS / MS in environmental science, biology, engineering or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in management consulting with substantial experience in Energy or Power sectors (traditional energy, LNG, CCS, and / or hydrogen).
  • Track record delivering multi-million-dollar annual sales / programs.
  • In-depth understanding of the Energy and / or Power industry and existing relationships to leverage into new business.
  • Understanding of the Energy and / or Power regulatory environment, key agencies, and current issues (carbon transitioning).
  • Business acumen to understand risks and opportunities to provide enterprise-wide solutions for clients.
