The first of its kind in the nation, Center for Hope is a model for employing integrated programs and services designed to break the cycle of violence and its lifelong impact for victims of all races, ethnicities and religions, from the cradle to old age Job Summary The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) serves as a collaborative member of the Child Advocacy Center multidisciplinary team. The PNP is responsible for performing non-acute forensic medical evaluations for children and adolescents with suspected abuse and neglect. The PNP is also responsible for performing initial screening exams for children entering foster care and kinship care. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary team members including law enforcement, child welfare, forensic interviewers, family advocates, and legal professionals. Requirements Seasoned professional knowledge; equivalent to a Master's degree; knowledge in more than one discipline. Current Maryland Registered Nurse License, Master's in Nursing, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner Certification. At least 3 years of experience providing medical care for children in outpatient settings. 5-7 years of experience. Must be comfortable working with victims of child abuse and neglect. Experience as Forensic Nurse Examiner strongly preferred. American Heart Association CPR Certification.
