Billing Specialist

NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a leading healthcare staffing organization to find a Temporary Billing Specialist to support a high-impact project. This is a 100% remote role for an assignment scheduled through January 31st, requiring full-time hours with some overtime potential as needed and availability between 7 AM - 7 PM CST. An ideal candidate is detail-oriented, task-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. Flexibility and strong communication skills are key as this role may shift between operations and billing based on project needs.

Required :

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel using pivot tables / v-lookups, and Microsoft Office tools
• 2+ years of work experience in a related role in accounting, finance, payroll, or operations
• Must have an understanding of basic Accounting concepts of Billing, Expenses, and reconciliation
• Ability to follow directions and ask clarifying questions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
