American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics position requiring a MN RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and willingness to float per contract.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is based in an acute care hospital on the OB / L&D unitPatient population includes laboring mothers, postpartum and antepartum patients, newborns, pediatrics, GYN, and Med-Surg overflowAverage census includes 5 mom / baby couplets, 2 pediatrics, 1 GYN, 2 labor, and 4 SCNNurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 3 mom / baby couplets, 1 : 5 GYN / Med-Surg, and 1 : 3-4 pediatricsRequires floating to Med-Surg and Telemetry units when needed12-hour rotating day / night shifts with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidaysUses Epic EMR, Acudose, Philips Vitals Machines, Bladder Scanner, Medula Breast Pumps, Responder 5 Call light, and Medfusion PumpsResponsibilities include caring for postpartum, stable antepartum, pediatric, newborn, GYN, and Med-Surg overflow patients and may serve as second RN in Special Care NurserySupport staff includes a ward clerk, CNA, charge / circulator RN, resource RN, and LPN scrub nurse, all available at varying timesOrientation to unit and equipment provided on the first dayNavy blue scrubs requiredMust badge in and out of facility each shiftPrevious Sanford Health employees must have a 6-month gap since last employmentCandidates residing within 80 miles are considered local for pay purposes\n \n Requirements\n
Active Minnesota RN license required or commitment to obtain within 24 hours of offerMinimum of 2 years experience in OB / L&D including Post Partum and PediatricsCurrent AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP requiredExperience with Epic or other EMR systems preferredAbility and willingness to float to other units, including Med-Surg and TeleAble to work in Labor, Postpartum, Nursery, and Pediatrics\n Benefits\n
