Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department within a hospital setting Position is for night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week Two 13-hour call shifts are required per 6-week schedule period with mandatory onsite arrival within one hour when on call Assignment is for a 13-week contract Care is provided to patients in a Level 1 Trauma environment Epic charting system is used and prior experience is required Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, and execution of ED-specific interventions Maintains accurate and current documentation for healthcare team integration Promotes patient and staff safety by adhering to established safety standards and promptly addressing hazards Collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families to promote optimal care and workplace harmony Participates in professional development and supports peer learning through constructive feedback Requested time off (RTO) may not exceed 7 days during the 13-week contract Contingent workers may not be on assignment at the facility for more than one year without a six-month break before returning Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment Requirements Active Illinois RN license, temporary licenses accepted Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association Minimum of one year relevant nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting At least three years of total nursing experience is preferred Previous Level 1 Trauma experience required Epic EMR experience required Associate degree in nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-620715.
