The School at Columbia University is an independent K-8 school founded in 2003 with the goal of providing an excellent education to a diverse student body. Responsibilities :
Teach a class of about 20 students in the context of an integrated curriculum
Collaborate in the design and implementation of an integrated curriculum
Act as an advisor for Middle Division students if needed
Keep careful anecdotal and assessment records and use them to write accurate, comprehensive student reports
Work to ensure academic excellence by fully knowing students and adapting curriculum to meet student needs
Fulfilling all duties, responsibilities and commitments as outlined in the school's Guidebook and the organization's code of conduct
Keep careful anecdotal and assessment records to write accurate, comprehensive student reports that reflect student growth and support their future education
Teaching experience at the K-8 level, and demonstrated knowledge of child development
Strong skills in second-language learning
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English
Wide-ranging intellectual and educational interests
Fluent in Spanish

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
