Job descriptionInterested in Local News? Can you follow the various goings-on in Bend, Redmond, Prineville, Madras, LaPine, Sisters and all points in-between? You’ll be working with professionals with decades of experience! > Eventually you’ll be able to produce, from start to finish 5 to 10 stories per week. Each story will consist of at least 2 different versions with sound and a wrap.> Reporter is expected to come up with original story ideas on a daily basis. Final decision on story selection determined by News Director with input from Reporter.> Broadcast news experience preferred but not required.> We will train you in the use of audio recording and editing software. (Adobe Audition) Both in studio and in the field.> Excellent writing skills needed to convey stories on the air, on the website, via Twitter, Facebook and other social media. Social Media skills a plus.> Hours 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with some flex. Efficiency in use of time is a must. Must be a self-starter and work well without direct supervision.
