Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Labor and Delivery Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 30 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Position : Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D) Facility Type : Rural Critical Access Hospital Department : LDRP Unit Shift Options : Nights, 3x12s (18 : 00-06 : 30) Nights, 4x12s (18 : 00-06 : 30) Start Date : December 1, 2025 Contract Length : 8 or 13 weeks (both accepted) Guaranteed Hours : Based on signed contract Schedule : Every Other Weekend (EOW), 7 ON / 7 OFF block scheduling allowed No Call Required Float : Task floating required within facility or affiliate per Joint Commission standards EMR : Cerner (required experience) License : Active NM or Compact RN license (must be in hand at submission) Locals : Not accepted (100-mile radius rule) Unit Overview Unit Type : LDRP - combined Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum Beds / Rooms : 4 regular LDRP rooms 1 triage room 1 well-baby nursery Patient Population : Neonates, laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns Average Staffing : 1 : 1 patient ratio during active labor Support : OB department staffed 24 / 7 with two Family Practice physicians and one OB / GYN Equipment : State-of-the-art ventilators, bilirubin lights, infant warmers, and perinatal monitoring technology Requirements Experience : Minimum 2 years recent L&D experience (Charge experience a plus) Must be comfortable in small / rural hospital settings (cross-trained and independent practice) Certifications (Required) : BLS - American Heart Association ACLS - American Heart Association NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced and STABLE preferred but not required) Charting Experience : Cerner proficiency required (facility transitioned in 2022) Additional Information RTO : Must be submitted with initial application; no holiday RTO will be approved. Flu / COVID Requirements : TBD (status not specified). Return Staff Policy : Previous travelers accepted; current perm staff require facility approval. References : Two recent professional references required (within 2 years). Background : Any hits reviewed by facility for approval. Orientation : Included in first week of assignment.
