Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 11 / 17 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights, rotating Employment Type : Local Contract Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – $46–$54 / hr | 13-Week Contract | Edison, NJ Location : Edison, NJ Pay : $46–$54 per hour (based on experience) Contract Length : 13 weeks from start date Shift : 6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed | No on-call Job Summary The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) , under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services , provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment in accordance with department policies and procedures. You’ll play a key role in providing high-quality respiratory care for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Essential Job Functions Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction, including patient education, treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation, and care for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Assist with intubations and perform ventilator setup and management . Evaluate patient needs through testing, consultation, and assessment. Deliver clear, compassionate education to patients and caregivers. Develop professional rapport with patients, families, and team members to support optimal outcomes. Document all therapy and patient education accurately and timely. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Adhere to all organizational competencies, standards of behavior, and safety protocols. Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 5 lbs. and stand for at least 1 hour per day. Qualifications Required Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Required Licensure & Certifications : Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license . NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification. BLS (AHA) , ACLS , and PALS certifications. Experience : Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required.
