Description :

This is a seasonal contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.

The scheduled shift is from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM.

The total duration of the assignment is 13 weeks.

The unit has 48 private rooms and additional stretchers for patient care.

There are a total of 111 staff members in the department, including charge nurses and patient care technicians.

Patient ratios are maintained at 1 : 4 for emergency department patients, 1 : 5 for behavioral health, and 1 : 3 for cardiac / trauma patients.

The department is equipped with advanced technology, including Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers.

The electronic medical record system used is MEDITECH.

Candidates should be adept in multitasking and teamwork.

A self-starter attitude is favored for candidates.

Candidates should adhere to the dress code of navy blue scrubs.

The unit follows all established policies and guidelines.

The management team actively engages with staff through committees and recognition programs.

New equipment and technology may be available, enhancing the work environment.

This role requires proficiency in various emergency procedures, including splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, and behavioral health de-escalation.
