Title Officer

We are a professional staffing firm, working with organizations across the country to place exceptional candidates. Currently, we have a Title Officer opportunity with our client — a creative design agency known for its innovation, multidisciplinary expertise, and commitment to delivering forward-thinking visual solutions that set new industry standards.

The Title Officer is responsible for the specific duties listed below.

Your specific duties will include:

• Examine and analyze chains of title and records such as deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, and plat and map books to determine ownership and legal restrictions and to verify the legal description of property.
• Copy and summarize recorded documents such as mortgages, trust deeds, contracts, and easements affecting the condition of title to property.
• Analyze recorded documents and prepare title commitments outlining restrictions and actions required to clear title.
• Price commitments, endorsements, policies, and credits using appropriate schedules of fees and charges.
• Perform file maintenance; respond to phone calls and written requests from customers, and perform updates and make changes in accordance with these requests within underwriter guidelines.
• Review documents and perform "date-down " prior to approving the recording of original documents.
  

Required qualifications for the position include:

• 3+ years of experience as a Title Officer or Assistant.
• Proficient use of Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, Outlook E-mail, Order processing, and Microsoft Windows.
• Knowledge of online Grantor Grantee Indexes and County Assessor Website.

Pay Rate Range: $ per hour

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, as well as a 401(k) plan.
