• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with any issues that arise within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or situations, escalating issues as needed according to established protocols.
• Assist with access control measures, helping to monitor entrances and exits within the retail setting.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and communicating with store personnel as needed.
• Document all activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.Minimum Requirements :
• A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
