Process Engineer

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Chemical / Material Engineer to join our dynamic team in a food packaging materials development laboratory. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and testing of new materials, develop processing methods and the implementation of innovative packaging solutions that meet the evolving needs of the food industry.

Responsibilities :

• Design and develop process for new polymers / plastics / paper / fiber materials and systems for the manufacture of food packaging.
• Conduct experiments and tests in a Pilot plant and laboratory, semiworks and manufacturing including extrusion, thermoforming, injection molding and other processing equipment.
• Develop / design and execute experiments in support of cost reductions, materials replacements, productivity improvements for the current and new products / businesses.
• Participate in the scale-up of laboratory findings to full production levels.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to food packaging.
• Document all phases of research and development.
• Travel to manufacturing sites and vendor locations as needed (less than 20% travel required).
