Location : Palo Alto, CA - (Next to the Four Seasons & IKEA)

Worksite : Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite

Type : Full-Time | Executive Role

Reports To : Founder & CEO

We’re looking for a Chief Content Officer (CCO) to lead and scale our content organization, the creative engine behind everything we deliver.

This role is both strategic and hands‑on : you’ll define Blazel’s content vision, manage our content teams, and shape how human creativity and AI collaboration come together to produce thought leadership at scale.

You’ll oversee the full content lifecycle from intake interviews and AI generation to final editing, publishing, and performance optimization. You’ll also collaborate cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, and AI teams to build systems that make our content process more intelligent, scalable, and reliable.

Content Strategy & Leadership

  • Own Blazel’s overall content vision, tone, and quality standards.
  • Develop frameworks and systems for consistent, scalable content production across hundreds of client accounts.
  • Set editorial guidelines to ensure content remains authentic, accurate, and brand‑aligned for each client.
  • Lead and mentor a growing team of editors, writers, and content managers.
  • Create performance metrics for content quality, engagement, and delivery efficiency.

AI‑Driven Content Innovation

  • Partner with AI and Engineering teams to enhance Blazel’s human‑in‑the‑loop content workflows.
  • Build and refine prompt systems that power LLM‑generated first drafts.
  • Stay current on emerging tools and methods in AI‑assisted writing, LLM prompt engineering, and generative content production.
  • Translate AI capabilities into scalable editorial workflows that maintain high creative quality.
  • Client Experience & Collaboration

  • Oversee client‑facing content delivery processes—ensuring every client receives content aligned with their goals, tone, and style.
  • Join strategic client calls to align on narrative direction, voice, and growth strategy.
  • Build trust‑based relationships with clients, positioning Blazel as their partner in storytelling and thought leadership.
  • Support onboarding and training for content managers to ensure consistent client experiences.
  • Systems & Process Design

  • Develop and optimize repeatable systems for content creation, editing, and publishing using tools like HubSpot, Notion, Slack, and internal AI systems.
  • Collaborate with Operations to automate and scale internal processes—from client onboarding to content review cycles.
  • Create data‑driven insights and reports that inform content performance and iteration cycles.
  • Qualifications

    Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in content leadership, editorial management, or creative direction roles.
  • Proven success creating, editing, and publishing high‑impact, highly engaging content for executives, founders, or professional audiences.
  • Experience leading and scaling content teams across multiple clients or accounts.
  • Deep understanding of AI content generation, LLMs, and prompt engineering for real‑world applications.
  • Strong client‑facing communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Proven ability to design and manage scalable, efficient, and automated content workflows.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a focus on clarity, tone, and authenticity.
  • Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience at a startup, marketing agency, or media company working with technical clients.
  • Familiarity with content analytics, engagement metrics, and SEO principles.
  • Technical understanding of AI, SaaS, Fintech, or Healthtech domains.
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms like n8n, Zapier, or custom integrations.
