SUMMARY
Quality Engineer III is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet quality standards, involving a blend of testing, analysis, and improvement. They Design and implement quality control measures, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Is the Quality System Manager for the facilities ISO 9001 : 2015 Quality Management System.
Plans and manages the required yearly ISO 9001-2015 internal audit of the quality management system. Recruits and supports the Internal auditor team.
Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes / standards.
Performs quality engineering reviews of design and development projects for compliance with design requirements (PRD), company standard operational procedures, as well as industrial quality standards.
Develops and executes quality control plans which include creating inspection processes and procedures, tests, as well as data collection requirements to ensure products and or services meet specified quality standards.
Develops Accessibility Conformance Reports as needed.
Analyzes data and identifies areas for improvement. Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods and analytical skills to pinpoint areas where product quality can be enhanced and analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes for effectiveness
Prepares and presents reports related to quality assurance activities to communicate significant issues or developments. Provides recommended process improvements to management
Manages the Material Review Board (MRB) process for evaluating nonconforming material. Oversee the facilities quality corrective action process.
Communicates quality concerns and non-conformances with suppliers and vendors.
Supports Lab Audit meetings. Generates and communicating a weekly Lab audit schedule.
Performs detail analysis and problem solving for failures discovered during TEMPEST QA Audit testing.
Support weekly Quality meetings with the QC team to review and discuss pertinent information concerning customer orders in the shipping forecast.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or eight to ten years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Maintain ISO 9001-200 Lead Auditor Certification.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

The likely salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, API considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
