Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1570-$1680 Hours per Week : 36 Job Details - PCU / Stepdown RN Travel Assignment Job Title : PCU Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Nursing Location : Warren, OH 44484 (Ohio nursing jobs) Employment Type : Travel Assignment Unit : IMCU 5th Floor, 24 beds Contract Duration : 13 weeks (option for 8, 13, or 16 weeks) Shift : 12 Hour Days Hours per Week : 36 Scheduling : Every other weekend and holiday Scrubs : Navy blue Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (required) Minimum 1 year of RN experience (required) 6 months of acute care hospital experience (preferred) BLS certification (preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to direct patient care) ACLS, CCRN, PCCN, and NIH Stroke Certification (preferred) Dysrhythmia Exam required (study guide available) EPIC EHR training and Critical Care Course (preferred) PCU Nurse Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans Safely administer medications and follow clinical protocols Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives Manage patients with multi-system organ failure, trauma, and varying acuity levels Care for cardiac (NSTEMI, stress tests, cardioversions, TEE), neuro, general (HD, AKI, CRF, GI bleeds), and respiratory (COPD, CHF, COVID) patient populations Utilize advanced respiratory modalities (BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow, stable vents / trachs) Administer and monitor non-titratable drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, Lasix) Collaborate with ancillary staff (2 CNAs per shift) and provide patient / family education Maintain professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and effective communication Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and emergencies Discover travel nursing jobs in Ohio and experience the satisfaction of providing progressive care in Warren, OH.
