Alameda Corpus Christi TX 78411 Floor : 3 West Building : Doctors Regional General Information : Tell us about the unit(s) : Number of Beds - 22 Number of Staff – 30 Type of staff : Day Shift – 1 chg, 5 rn, 2 pca, 1 unit sec, 0-2 sitter; Night Shift – 1 chg, 4 rn, 1-2 pca, 0-2 sitter Patient Ratios – maximum 6 : 1 Type of equipment – standard EMR – meditech Typical hiring profile : Skill Set Most recruited for : Must have : Acute med / surg / tele experience 2+ years within the last year; Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time Preferred or nice to have : 2+ years neurosurgery / ortho nursing experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s) : Care of med / surg / tele ortho and neurosurgery patients; Standard nursing skills : IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion / maintenance, central line maintenance; medication administration; communication with all members of care team; documentation in EHR Best personality Fit : Friendly, positive, patient-centered, team-focused Acute med / surg / tele experience 2+ years within the last year Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time 2+ years neurosurgery / ortho nursing experience (preferred) Weekends and On call (if any) : as needed Unit Guidelines / Policies : n / a
