Nature of Work : Summary :

This is responsible technical and supervisory work in the performance of land survey and related engineering work in the field or office. Work involves either the responsibility of acting as crew chief of a survey party which performs pre-construction land surveys or performing engineering investigations and inspections of contracted construction projects. An incumbent in this classification exercises considerable independence in the performance of the duties and receives general guidance from a superior.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management / engineering OR Associate's degree in engineering or construction AND two (2) years of work experience in sub-professional engineering, land surveying, drafting, or construction inspection OR Four (4) years of experience in sub-professional engineering, land surveying, drafting, or construction inspection

Special Qualifications : Must possess a valid motor vehicle operators license.

Salary Range : $58,718.40 with step increases to $82,617.60 Annually

Examination Information : The examination will consist of a training and experience form designed to assess job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position. The training and experience form will be given to candidates once their application has been received, reviewed by a recruiter, and accepted to test for the position. The form must be completed and returned to the Human Resources Department by November 20, 2025 (passing score 60%). Final eligibility list will be the training and experience form weighted 100%.
