The facility in Cumberland, MD is looking for a Hematology / Oncology locum tenens physician to provide coverage for one week each month, focusing on outpatient care with some inpatient consults. The physician will manage up to 18 outpatient clinic patients daily and handle approximately 1-2 inpatient consults during clinic hours. Requirements include an M.D. or D.O. degree, board certification in Hematology / Oncology, and at least 3 years of experience.

Facility in Cumberland, MD seeking Hem Onc locums coverage $550 / hr Facility is seeking locum Hematology / Oncology coverage for one week each month to cover vacation schedules. Responsibilities will primarily be outpatient with some inpatient consults. Scheduling Details :

  • Start Date : January 6, 2025
  • Shift : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM
  • Estimated Shifts per Month : 5
  • On Call : No on-call requirements
  • Support Staff : Dedicated exam nurse, with additional nursing and administrative support

Duties :

  • Outpatient care, seeing up to 18 clinic patients daily
  • Approximately 1-2 inpatient consults per day; consults managed during clinic hours or at day s end

  • EMR : Meditech for both inpatient and outpatient
  • Typical Cases : Breast, lung, colon, prostate, melanoma, lymphoma, and hematology

    • Requirements :

  • Education / Certification : M.D. or D.O., Board Certified / Board Eligible in Hematology / Oncology
  • Experience : 3+ years required
  • Licensure : Maryland license preferred but will consider providers willing to obtain one
  • Certifications : DEA, CSR required
