Overview
GovCIO is currently hiring for an Agile Scrum Master (Remote) to support the Readiness and Employment System (RES) contract. This position will be a fully remote position.
Responsibilities
Acts as a servant-leader for an Agile team, ensuring they follow Scrum practices while also helping them overcome obstacles and improve continuously.
Facilitates team meetings, removing impediments to progress, coaches the team on Agile principles, and helps the Product Owner manage the product backlog.
Facilitates and guides the scrum team in adopting and implementing the Scrum framework - which includes organizing and leading Scrum ceremonies, promoting collaboration and ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and values.
Implements and maintains the Scrum framework.
Works closely with the product owner and development team to plan and execute sprints, daily stand-ups and sprint reviews.
Creates and maintains project timelines
Identifies and manages risks and monitors progress against project goals.
Facilitates Scrum events : Guides daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and other meetings to ensure they are productive and achieve their objectives.
Coaches the team on self-organization, cross-functionality, and adhering to Agile / Scrum principles and best practices.
Identifies and removes obstacles that are hindering the team's progress or helps the team find the right people to resolve them.
Shields the team from external distractions to maintain focus and productivity during a sprint.
Helps the Product Owner find techniques for effective Product Backlog management and ensures clear communication between the Product Owner and the development team.
Acts as a liaison to improve communication between the development team and those outside the team, fostering mutual trust and respect.
Guides the team and the organization in improving their processes and becoming more effective over time.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree with 2-5 yrs experience
Must have experience working in Agile environment.
Must possess leadership skills and experience.
Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must possess the ability to explain intricate and complicated concepts and ideas.

Posted Pay Range
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department / team performance, and market factors.

USD $95,000.00 - USD $110,000.00 / Yr.
