Head Of Human Resources

LaSalle Network is hiring for a highly reputable construction and general contracting company in Lewisville, TX, seeking a Head Of Human Resources due to growth. With over 300 employees across multiple states, this corporation is a certified Minority Business Enterprise, renowned for its safety-first culture, operational excellence, and deep-rooted commitment to integrity and customer service. The Head Of Human Resources will be the architect and leader of the organization's first formal HR department. The ideal candidate will have a "builders" mentality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bring extensive knowledge of human resources policies from the construction industry.

Head Of Human Resources Responsibilities :

  • Build the HR department from the ground up, defining vision, structure, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on people strategy, workforce planning, and organizational design.
  • Create and implement core HR policies, SOPs, and systems to support scalability and compliance.
  • Design and execute full-cycle recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent across field and corporate roles.
  • Establish structured onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Implement workforce planning practices and succession planning.
  • Establish clear employee relations practices, issue resolution frameworks, and documentation protocols.
  • Coach and advise managers on performance management, feedback, and corrective action processes.
  • Audit and align compensation, benefits, and leave programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, EEO, OSHA, etc.).

Head Of Human Resources Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 35 years in a head-of-function or senior HR business partner capacity.
  • Proven success in building or scaling HR infrastructure from early stages within a growing organization, preferably in construction, utilities, or field-based industries.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and compliance specific to construction.
  • Experience implementing SOPs, HRIS, and scalable systems.
  • Ability to build trust and influence at all levels, from craft labor to C-suite.
