We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking IT Vendor Management leader to join the Business Technology Strategy & Operations team. This leader will implement vendor management best practices across our IT functions, deliver a sourcing strategy aligned with the CIO's five-year plan, to stand up and establish a VM Office, and to improve supplier quality and strengthen these partnerships. You will manage a team of Category Managers and VMO Operations Analysts to deliver day to day vendor management activities related to performance management, service management, demand management, and reporting. You will work closely with teams within Business Technology including functional IT leaders, risk management and workforce planning, as well as key partners across the enterprise like Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Security, to complete key VMO initiatives. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Business Technology Strategy & Operations.
This is an office-flexible role for Dallas, TX, Indianapolis, IN or Atlanta, GA. In office expectations are 10 days / a quarter to support customers and / or collaborate with their teams.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the overall sourcing and vendor management strategy for Business Technology; responsible for combining knowledge of internal business demand, external IT market trends, BT operating model, and BT workforce strategy to develop a comprehensive, forward looking strategy
- Develop overall team charter and key priorities for the BT VMO team; Define and deliver the BT VMO roadmap
- Define and deliver the VMO operating model, including RACI and interaction model that outlines how the VMO works with external and internal partners
- Effectively collaborate with BT leadership and key internal partners to understand overall business strategy and gauge upcoming demand; partners with key leaders to develop business and financial case for new engagement models (managed service providers)
- Lead a team of category managers and VMO ops analyst focused on the optimization of the BT supplier network, identification of new sourcing opportunities, reporting on and optimizing vendor performance
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of strategic partners
- Defines the overall VMO team and supplier key performance indicators and coordinates VMO Ops lead to build and implement a plan for ongoing measurement
- Manage key partners, collaborators and strategic supplier relationships; includes ongoing 1 : 1s with key partners, monthly interactions with strategic partners, vendor scorecards, and monthly / quarterly updates for the internal VMO community
- Provide monthly updates to executive leadership on vendor performance, key metrics, and progress on key programs and initiatives
- Lead and drive development and adoption of BT VMO governance, tools, guidance, and processes
Required Skills :
10+ years related work experience in one or more of the following areas : strategic sourcing, vendor management, workforce management (with strong a background in managing contingent workforce)Extensive experience and knowledge with IT outsourcing lifecycle, including RFP / RFI process and development, contract / SOW development, negotiations, renewals, etc.Strong communications, teamwork, and consensus building skills, particularly with senior IT leadershipExperience with developing and presenting use cases to senior leadershipExperience driving strategy into execution and leading sophisticated programsExceptional leadership skills to effectively lead and empower managersSolid understanding of industry standards, business strategy and regulatory requirementsExcellent written and oral communication skillsPlanning and organization skills to facilitate goal-settingCreative approach to build new, effective VMO solutionsDemonstrates the Salesforce values of trust, operational excellence, and equalityExperience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).
