Application Support Analyst
SIG is currently looking for an Application Support Analyst to work on our Proprietary Trading Services team. You will be joining a group focusing on the support and technical operations of our core trading systems. This team is responsible for all aspects of server side application support : job scheduling, troubleshooting issues, intraday restarts, tactical response to production issues, deploying change and working directly with our developer and engineering teams.
In this role you will :
- Provide daily support of proprietary trading systems that our crucial to our business
- Coordinate, implement and support daily system level changes, in a Windows and Linux environment
- Troubleshoot trading related issues by investigating client / server log files
- Perform server side application support, job scheduling, and basic scripting
- Coordinate technical resources and communicate to both business and technology communities during production issues
What we're looking for :
1-3 years of experience in an application support, operations, systems administration, or related role requiredAbility to independently identify problems and develop solutions requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAn understanding of operating systems (Windows and / or Linux) is requiredFoundational knowledge of Powershell, Python, or Bash scriptingPrevious experience within a financial services or trading environment is a plusBachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferredSIG does not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or search firms.
