Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery OB Triage position in a Level IV Maternal facility, requiring a TX or compact RN license and strong perinatal experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position located in a Level IV Maternal Designation hospital unit with 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 Triage rooms, and 51 Mother-Baby Couplet rooms
  • High-risk, high-volume delivery service performing over 500 deliveries per month
  • 24-hour in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage with an active Perinatal Transport Program
  • Academic teaching environment alongside large private OB practices
  • Shift is 18 : 45 to 07 : 15, nights
  • Unit expanding in early 2026 to a new Women's Tower
  • Responsibilities include triage of obstetric patients, participating in high-acuity, fast-paced deliveries, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary obstetric team
  • Work in a hospital with 24 / 7 access to OB attendings, anesthesia, and neonatology support
  • Academic and private practice collaboration enriches the learning environment
  • COVID-19 vaccination is not required
  • All candidates are subject to a local radius rule, affecting eligibility for travel pay rates
  • Two professional references and a copy of driver’s license are required for consideration
  • Separate clinical references, certifications, and license verification must be submitted for review prior to assignment

    • Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required with primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
  • Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery or perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or ARC required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA or ARC required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from AAP required
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification required
  • Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school required
  • Applicants must provide a US Social Security Number and a US address
  • Submission requires Nursys license verification
