We are a dynamic mid-sized public accounting firm with a team of over 70 professionals, currently seeking a Tax Staff member who wants the opportunity to expand their skills and be an integral team member at a growing CPA firm. Key responsibilities include :

Prepare simple to complex Federal, State, and Local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations
Assist with responding to tax notices
Interact with clients to gather relevant financial records
Analyze financial data
Stay current on evolving tax laws and industry regulations

Job criteria and qualifications :

0-5 years of experience in tax at a public accounting firm

Bachelor's degree in accounting

Knowledge of current tax laws and ability to apply to clients in direct interaction

Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

Strong attention to detail and innovative problem-solving skills

Excellent analytical and technical skills with mid-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Lacerte is a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proactive and energetic team personality
