Job Title : Registered Nurse - First Assistant (RNFA)

Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 8-hour days, Monday-Thursday 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm; Friday 8 : 00 am - 12 : 00 pm. Must be able to take call for potential call backs.

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience required. Travel experience is also required.

License : Willing to wait

Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must-Have :

  • Seasoned Cardiac Surgery RNFA with Endoscopic Vein Harvesting experience

Job Description :

  • The position requires an experienced Cardiac Surgery RNFA.
  • Endoscopic Vein Harvesting experience is prioritized.
  • The program is new and currently performs 3-5 heart procedures weekly.
  • There are two heart rooms, but only one is currently in use due to anesthesia availability.
  • The team includes one other FA and an Advanced Practice Provider in training.
  • The focus is on thoracic surgeries, with likely no peripheral vascular involvement.
  • The role is exclusively in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, with no general population cases expected.
  • Utilizes the EPIC charting system.

    • Please ensure eligibility and readiness to take call for potential call backs.
